Thrilled was an understatement for Kayla McKinney's emotions when she received the invite to open for fellow North Carolinian Country Artist Priscilla Block at Silverados in Black Mountain on Saturday, October 28th.
"Getting the chance to share a stage with a strong and bold singer and songwriter like Priscilla is so inspiring to me," McKinney gushed, "Her music is the anthem so many women have been singing in their hearts for years without someone to champion it. But now they have their champion, and I am blessed to be part of that story on the 28th."
Block's success story is one of pure drive and courage as she moved to Nashville after graduating High School in Raleigh, North Carolina, to chase her dreams as a Country Star. Then, during the peak of the Pandemic in 2020, she boldly shined through on TikTok with her viral music video "Just About Over You," which helped her secure a record deal with Mercury Nashville.
